Vistancia Named One of Peoria's Greatest Assets in City Branding Study

Branding campaigns unveiled during ongoing development meetings between Peoria's City Council and North Star Destination Strategies came as a result of the recent 2007 city wide survey of Peoria residents in which they listed Vistancia, Lake Pleasant and the city's natural beauty as Peoria's greatest assets.

Contracted by the city of Peoria in 2006 as consultants to develop a branding and marketing strategy for the city, North Star Destination Strategies has used their community branding expertise to increase economic development, tourism, the arts and recreational development in over 40 US cities.

Amy Bailey, Community Brand Supervisor of North Star, explained that without a distinct identity of its own, Peoria has a great opportunity to define its image within the Valley as an emerging destination spot for those in search of a refreshing desert lifestyle.

With Bailey's presentation of two separate campaigns, support from City Council leaned in favor of the campaign which highlighted the building of community through the value connected with places, events and activities with the catchphrase - "Naturally Connected."
